What plugs are used in Iraq?

In case of traveling Iraq you should know that the type of sockets used in this region are C, D and G plugs.

In addition to the type and shape of the plugs in Iraq, it should be noted that the electric current in this country has a voltage of 230 Volts and a frequency of 50 Hz.

Types of sockets in Iraq

As mentioned above, Iraq uses 3 types of plugs (C, D and G) are used, which have the following shapes and characteristics:

Can I use any electronic device in an Iraq plug?

No, because to be able to use any appliance that needs electrical current will depend on the type of appliance and its country of origin.

In other words, if you want to use electronic device from your country in the electrical current of Iraq, it is recommended that the voltage of the plugs of the country of origin is similar to that of Iraq, i.e. 230 V.

Therefore, if the voltage of the country of origin is higher than that of to Iraq, an electrical voltage converter should be used in order to avoid overloading the appliance. And if it is lower, the device will probably operate at lower performance or not at all.
